How do I choose the best blinds for a classroom?

The first place to start when selecting new blinds for a classroom is to keep in mind what lessons the room is used for. Roller blinds are a popular choice for classrooms as they offer plenty of choice when it comes to fabrics. From our selection of screen fabrics that offer great protection against glare that is a familiar problem in computer science labs but will still keep your view of the outside, to blackout fabrics that are ideal for lecture halls or rooms where presentations or film equipments is used.

Vertical blinds is another great choice as they offer plenty of shade while gently filtering natural light into the room. The tilting louvres means you can adjust the positioning of the blinds during the day to get just the right amount of shading you need.

The height of the window is another aspect to consider when decising what operation to go for. Hard to reach windows may not be suitable for manual operation, or even practical to use on a daily basis. For this we have a range of automated system that can be controlled by a simple to use remote control. Are all blind types safe to use in schools?

Yes, every blind we install is fitted according to current safety standards and are supplied with the appropriate child safety devices to ensure cords are kept out of reach. Some blind types are 'safe by design', meaning they come with a cordless operating system, such as Perfect Fit and Allusion blinds. Today any blind style can be made cordless and replaced with either a wand operation, gear operated with a crank handle or motorised control.

Who do you use to install the blinds?

We have our own team of skilled engineers who carry out installations nationwide. The team is fully CRB checked and have years' of experience in their trade. 

The existing blinds are broken. Do you do repairs?

We do repair blinds that have been supplied by us previously. If the blinds are from another supplier we could only offer to quote your for a set of replacement blinds.
